 Confederation Cup: Raja’s impressive African record

By beating JS Kabylie (2-1) on Saturday in the final, Raja Casablanca won the second Confederation Cup in its history after 2018. In the past, only the Tunisians of CS Sfaxien (3 titles) and Etoile du Sahel (2) and the Congolese from TP Mazembe (2) had already achieved the feat of lifting this trophy more than once.

In total, the Green Eagle now has 8 African titles, making it the 5th most successful club on the continent behind Al Ahly (21), Zamalek and TP Mazembe (11) and Etoile du Sahel (9) , but ahead of Esperance Tunis (7), JS Kabylie (6) or Wydad Casablanca (4).

The African prize list of Raja Casablanca:

  • Champions League: 3 titles (1989, 1997, 1999);
  • Confederation Cup: 2 titles (2018, 2021);
  • CAF Supercup: 2 titles (2000, 2019);
  • CAF Cup (this competition no longer exists, editor's note): 1 title (2003).
